Sandra Rigby-Barrett


Sandra studied piano and organ at Trinity College of Music in London, under the late concert pianist John Bingham, and composer, conductor and organist Geoffrey Hanson. Whilst there, Sandra was chosen to be a member of the specialist piano accompanist course, won the English Song Prize and was a finalist in several competitions accompanying singers and string players. She also gained a PhD from the University of Reading in 2014, in Music Analysis.

Sandra has supported Newbold Church and local village Churches in Binfield and Wokingham for over 40 years as an organist, pianist and choral conductor. She has also directed the Adventus Domini Choir for over 30 years and supported the New Bridge Charity with raising funds at the annual ‘Celebration of Christmas’ service since 1987.
