Online Campus Ministries

Online Campus Ministries

Campus Ministries is live and online! In these challenging times, the Campus Ministries team at Newbold is here to support you on your academic, emotional, relational, and spiritual journey. We are still passionate about helping you reach your full potential, and a pandemic can’t change that!

The Campus Ministries theme for the Autumn Semester 2020 is Find Me, and this title reflects the reality that in these times we are separated from one another, but that we also share the need and desire to connect with each other, and to reconnect with ourselves and with God. You can find more information below about the programmes for this semester that will help you achieve these connections.

Please remember to download the Piota App and follow the Campus Ministries channel. We will be communicating through Piota a lot, we don’t want you to miss anything important.

We can’t wait to see you and be part of your online Newbold experience.

The Online Campus Ministries Programmes

The Roundup (Mondays 8:00)

The Roundup is an exciting new digital collective of uplifting content that we’ll be sharing with the College community each Monday to inspire you for the week ahead. It might be an extract from a book or a poem, a song that has inspired us, or some tips to encourage balance and well-being that really work.

Uplift devotion (Wednesdays 8:00)

This is a devotion that a student or alumni will share with you through a video podcast each week on our Instagram platform. These videos will introduce you to some of our amazing students and give you the opportunity to enjoy their messages.

The Experience (Thursdays 19:00)

Traditionally, Thursday evening at Newbold is reserved for The Experience, a programme that brings together students from the College and youth from Newbold Church. Being online, The Experience will have a different format, but we will still have a line-up of diverse and international speakers who will share many inspiring and challenging ideas with you. You will be able to participate in the Q&A session and to explore many important topics. This programme will run as a Zoom webinar which you can join through the link that will be shared or you can follow the programme live on Facebook.

Sabbath School (Saturday 10:00)

When we are on campus, Sabbath morning is a special time for the whole Newbold community and we want to continue with this weekly bible study time even though we will be meeting online, wherever you are in the world. We will be studying each week’s lesson together with Newbold Church youth.

Life Groups (group decides the time)

You might need a more intimate and private environment where you can study the Bible and topics that are relevant to you with other students. You might want to have a group where you can share your joys and fears, beliefs and doubts, experiences, prayer requests, or maybe you want to connect with other students on a deeper level. We believe that being part of such a group is one of the most important decisions that you might make during this time of separation and isolation. We are here to connect you with others who might share the same need or to provide ideas and resources if you already have such a group. The Life Groups will meet via Zoom. If you are interested in being part of a Life Group, please register your interest by emailing dpuskas@newbold.ac.uk

Prayer requests

We would like to encourage you to share your prayer requests with us. We truly believe in the power of intercessory prayer, and we want to pray for you and with you. Please send your requests to dpuskas@newbold.ac.uk

If you would like to request a one-on-one appointment to chat with Danilo, you can do this now by emailing dpuskas@newbold.ac.uk
