The Roundup – Episode 22
A collective of ideas to inspire you, each and every week.
At Newbold, we believe in the power of Monday motivation.
This week on The Roundup, Danilo recalls the first time he sinned after his spiritual rebirth. It was a confusing moment for him as he felt he was reaching his spiritual peak and then this happened. It made him ask the question “how is this even possible?”.
With hindsight, Danilo came to realise that because he was just starting out on his spiritual journey, he wasn’t prepared for the ups and downs – all the dynamics that come with the journey.
Some of you may read this and think you can completely relate to this, some of you may not, but either way we hope that this week’s resources provide you with inspiration on your individual path.

Danilo loves the online courses and programmes developed on here to help guide your through various areas of your life, as well as spiritual. Funnily enough, there's a course right on par with this week's theme called 'Stages of Faith' - handy. Check it out!
Book of the Week:
'Stages of Faith' - James Fowler
“James W. Fowler (1940-2015) was an American theologian who was Professor of Theology and Human Development at Emory University. He was director of both the Center for Research on Faith and Moral Development and the Center for Ethics until he retired in 2005. He was a minister in the United Methodist Church. He is perhaps best known for his developmental model based on faith, which he wrote about in his book Stages of Faith: The Psychology of Human Development and the Quest for Meaning.”
Stages of Faith offers insight into Fowler’s developmental model, exploring seven primary stages of faith.
Danilo also recommends Ellen G. White’s “Steps to Christ” which harmonises with this week’s theme.
Song of the week:
'Shackles' - Mary Mary
An oldie, but a goodie. You can’t help but smile to this tune!
The lyrics are below so there’s no excuses not to sing along – on the count of 3…
“In the corners of mind
I just can’t seem to find a reason to believe
That I can break free
Cause you see I have been down for so long
Feel like the hope is gone
But as I lift my hands, I understand
That I should praise you through my circumstance
I just want to praise you
I just want to praise you
You broke the chains now I can lift my hands
And I’m gonna praise you…”
Cooking 101: pasta
Fact 1: a winter week without a bowl of pasta isn't a successful one. Fact 2: pasta is very easy to cook. Fact 3: the link below will show you how easy it is. You. Are. Welcome.
