Synchronous learning is any type of learning that takes place in real-time, where a group of people are engaging in learning simultaneously. Although learning occurs at the same time, learners do not have to be there in person, or even in the same location, using both online and offline modes. 

Courses that offer an online synchronous mode of study may require a residential component.

• (BA Hons) Biblical and Pastoral Studies: 5 GCSEs grade A*-C or equivalent (Maths and English subjects are mandatory) and 2 A-levels, or equivalent.
  
  
• (GradDip) Biblical and Pastoral Studies: An undergraduate degree in any area (BA or similar).
  
  
• (GradDip) Theology and Religion: An undergraduate degree in any area (UK Honours degree or equivalent).
  
  
• (CertEd) in Theology and Religion: Applicants should hold a Level 3 qualification, such as A levels, BTEC Level 3, or equivalent credentials, and GCSE in English and maths or their equivalents.
  
  
• MA Theology: (BA) in Theology with one biblical language (either Hebrew or Greek) or an undergraduate degree in any area, plus a Graduate Diploma in Biblical and Pastoral Studies (or equivalent).
  
  
• (PG Cert) Ministry and Mission: (BA) in Theology (or equivalent) or a (BA) (or equivalent) in any area, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Biblical and Pastoral Studies (or equivalent).
  
  
• (PG Cert) Pastoral Counselling: (BA) in Theology (or equivalent) or a (BA) (or equivalent) in any area.
  
  
• (CPE) Clinical Pastoral Education: Please share your credentials and experience in the digital application form, and engage in an interview to discuss your suitability for the course.

A placement is a mandatory element of the undergraduate courses to provide students with real-life experience. This, along with theoretical learning will equip students with the preparation needed for a lifelong career in ministry.

Placements are not mandatory on the postgraduate courses.
