The Roundup – Episode 3
A collective of ideas to inspire you, each and every week.
At Newbold, we believe in the power of Monday motivation.
“The Roundup” is an exciting digital collective of uplifting content that we’ll be sharing with you each Monday, to inspire you for the week ahead. We might share a cool extract from a book or a poem we’ve been reading, or reveal a song of the week that has inspired us, or just offer some tips to encourage balance and wellbeing that really work.
Our Chaplain Alastair Agbaje shares his personal recommendations for your week ahead:
Book of the week: "Emotional Intelligence And How To Achieve Mastery" by Jacob Greene
Alastair loves that this title helps you to really understand how people are wired, and how to be an empathetic person. "25 Proven Ways To Improve Your People Skills And Boost Your EQ For Work And Life" - sounds good to us.
Song of the week
'He is on His Way' by Ekklesia
Recognise anyone? That’s right, alongside a group of talented musicians including songwriter and producer Ken Burton, our very own Alastair features on this song of the week!
‘He is on His Way’ is a Gospel track released as part of a vinyl LP in 1988, published by KB Music. You can’t actually find this song online, but to mark the occasion we have recorded the track from the LP itself for an exclusive listen! Go on, treat your ears.
PS. Did you know that the Greek word “Ekklesia” is commonly translated as “church” in the New Testament. Pretty cool!

Bible verse of the Week
Revelation 22:10
10 “And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.”
Whilst listening to “He is on His Way”, Alastair found that he was inspired to read this verse. He also takes comfort from these words when he observes the conditions faced or experienced within communities, society and the world around us.
