Launching: Newbold Thursday Drop-In sessions
Do you have a question about studying here? Consider it answered.
Newbold Thursday Drop-In
On 19 May 2020, we announced the decision to extend the online learning experience for the upcoming Autumn Semester. Undoubtedly, this brought up a lot of questions – we hope that we managed to answer many of them in our written Q&A, published here. But we also understand that you may have more, and we’re here to help.
Through these uncertain times, we want to make sure that our transparency is certain. From this Thursday 11 June 2020, we launch Newbold Thursday Drop-In, interactive, digital and live panel discussions and Q&As, all in the name of clarity and connection.
These sessions will be delivered via Zoom, and will see different panelists discussing certain topics each week, from guides to the courses and programmes offered here at the College, to how we will be able to nurture students emotionally, spiritually and personally online, and more.
The first session will see Dr John Baildam, Principal of the College, offering an opening address, before our Serena Santona (Academic Registrar) and Kärt Lazić (Lecturer in Humanities) take centre stage with a short panel discussion, followed by an interactive Q&A. All sessions will be hosted by our Student Recruitment Officer, Troy Smith. Newbold Thursday Drop-In is ideal for any students that may be interested in studying here, and would like further insight into what it really means to “experience Newbold”.
They will take place each week from 18:00-19:00 GMT. Events will be published on our website homepage carousel, or our full news page (see here), on Facebook events, or on a via a link found on our Instagram profile. You are also always welcome to get in touch with us at: [email protected]
We hope to see you there!
