1:1 Summer Online English Learning to launch
A new initiative that invites students from across the globe to learn English from the comfort of their own home.
Today, our English Language Centre announces the upcoming launch of a new online summer course: 1:1 Online English Learning.
The course launches on 15 June 2020, and has been created in response to the coronavirus pandemic that has put a halt on in-person learning. Our English Language Centre is committed to providing an outstanding, ongoing service to students across the globe, and helping them improve or enhance their existing knowledge of the English Language, wherever they are.
The concept behind this exciting initiative is to help individual students reach their own, personal learning goals at their pace. Students will learn, practice and use English to either build on their existing knowledge, to develop general knowledge or to focus on specific areas in the English Language with a designated tutor.
Examples of specific areas include: theological and pastoral purposes, academic purposes, written community, spoken communication, preparation for English exams and more.
“In this current global climate, we have had to make some adjustments to our English language programme over the summer. Although we are unable to meet on campus for the Summer School in English course, this has opened doors for new opportunities.
And so, we are excited to share that we will be offering one-to-one personalised lessons online from 15 June 2020. This flexible course is tailored to the individual’s specific learning goals at any level, and includes a balanced mix of English for general and specific purposes.
Whether students need English for theological and pastoral purposes, academic purposes, written communication, spoken communication, support in preparing for the Cambridge and IELTS exams, or any other specific language areas, this course provides us with the opportunity to guide a student at a pace that suits them, at a level for them, and reassures them that we are very much, open for business.”
