Newbold College of Higher Education is pleased to announce that the College Board has approved the renaming of the Centre for Ministry and Mission as the Department of Theology and Ministry.

This change reflects the continued development of the College as it works towards establishing new programmes and departments and broadening its academic provision. It also responds to the need to align departmental naming with British higher education terminology.

The new name expresses a strong commitment to sound theological scholarship alongside a clear focus on preparing students for ministry in an ever-changing context. The Department of Theology and Ministry remains firmly committed to the ministry and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This commitment is reflected in its dedication to educating competent pastors, reflective practitioners, and thoughtful leaders who are equipped to engage creatively with both church and society in today’s complex world.

The department stands for academic excellence, the integration of faith and learning, and a strong missional awareness within contemporary culture.
