Who can apply for this scholarship?

Students aged 18 – 30 from within the geographic area of the Trans-European Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (TED) who are attending Newbold College for the first time and applying for full-time undergraduate studies.

The scholarship is paid out in semester instalments up to a maximum of 2 semesters. The receipt of this scholarship is dependent on proof of attendance, therefore funds will be distributed towards the end of each semester. The scholarship will be withdrawn if the terms and conditions are not met. Consequently, the student will become responsible for the payment of all fees incurred.

The scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis and excellent references from the local church.

How much can you expect to receive from the scholarship?

  • Students from the following countries – Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Cyprus and Slovenia – applying for undergraduate studies will receive a scholarship that will cover 100% tuition and 50% room and board (this includes accommodation for a single room, a shared bathroom, and a meal plan of 12 meals per week for the duration of one semester) for the 2024-20245 academic year.
  • Students from these countries – Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, UK and Sweden – applying for undergraduate studies will receive a scholarship that will cover 50% of their tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year.
  • UK-based students applying for undergraduate studies who have received funding support from the BUC Scholarship are still encouraged to apply. The TED Student Scholarship will cover 25% of tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

The Admissions and Records Officer will inform you of the outcome of your application during June 2024. In acceptance of the scholarship, you will be asked to sign a declaration form confirming the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
